Hey, I'm Riquelmy.
Black Dominican writer, travel advisor, and chronic rabbit hole enthusiast.
I grew up between Santo Domingo and New York — specifically the part of New York that Amsterdam Avenue runs through — and I've spent most of my life living in the in-between. Between languages, between cultures, between the person I was raised to be and the one I'm still becoming. Most of my writing lives in that space.
By day I'm a travel advisor of nearly eight years, founder of Sosa Travel, specializing in Caribbean and Asia travel. I also write and edit Just Landed, a weekly newsletter for travel advisors. And somewhere in between all of that, I've been a fiction writer my whole life — a diary keeper since I was six — someone who has always processed the world through words on a page.
This garden is where all of it lives together. I'm not interested in performing a personal brand or collapsing myself into a single lane. I'm interested in learning in public, writing honestly, and building something that actually looks like how my brain works — nonlinear, curious, and always going down rabbit holes at 2am.
If you're here, you probably are too.
