This site is a digital garden — a space for writing, collecting, and thinking in public. It's nonlinear by design. Nothing here is finished.

Built with

Astro — static site framework. Fast, flexible, exactly what a personal site needs.

Netlify — hosting and deployment. The site rebuilds automatically whenever new content is published.

Sanity — the content management system. All writing, collections, and pages are managed from Sanity Studio.

Kit — newsletter and email. Subscribers receive Memory of a Place essays in their inbox.

Typography

Handlee — used for the wordmark and display moments. Handwritten, loose, personal.

Cormorant — used for essay titles, section headers, and body text. Literary, with weight.

Schibsted Grotesk — used for navigation, labels, and supporting text. Clean without being generic.

The garden concept

A digital garden is different from a blog. Posts aren't necessarily chronological. Ideas grow over time. Some things are seedlings — rough, early, still forming. Some things become evergreen — refined and lasting.
